Recently, Lesley was able to leave her nursing home bed to spend precious time with her family by the water, surrounded by nature, fresh air, and the people who mean the most to her.
For a few beautiful hours, it wasn’t about illness or appointments. It was about connection. About holding hands, sharing stories, and simply being together in a place that brought peace and comfort.
This heartfelt wish was made possible thanks to our incredible volunteers, Les, Louise and Zoe, who supported Lesley and her loved ones every step of the way with compassion and care.
At Ambulance Wish Western Australia, we help terminally ill West Australians experience meaningful moments with family — whether that’s revisiting a special place, attending an important milestone, or spending quiet time together in a setting they love.
Every wish is provided at no cost to families and is made possible through the generosity of our community and the dedication of trained volunteers.
If you’d like to help create more moments like Lesley’s, please consider donating. Together, we can turn precious time into lasting memories.
