Bill’s wish was to attend a family celebration.
Bill wanted to attend the engagement party of his partner’s son.
Recently, Bill was able to leave his bed at Glengarry Hospital and spend precious time at the party, surrounded by family and love. In fact, Tanya’s son had actually gotten married and the party turned out to be a surprise wedding celebration! For a few hours, his medical needs faded away and the party became a place of comfort, connection and peace.
This wish was made possible thanks to our incredible volunteers, Ashlee, Chuck, Emma-Rose and Erin, who accompanied Bill and his family every step of the way.
At Ambulance Wish Western Australia, we help terminally ill West Australians fulfil their final wishes — whether that’s visiting a place filled with memories, ticking off a lifelong dream, or sharing one last meaningful moment with loved ones.
We provide this service at no cost to wish recipients or their families. Every wish is made possible by the generosity of donors and the dedication of volunteers, including qualified healthcare professionals, who give their time and expertise.
If you’d like to help us create more moments like Bill’s, please consider donating.
Every contribution helps turn a final wish into a cherished memory.
