First wish of 2023: Dave’s wish was to return home to see his home, cats and family one last time.
Dave was brought into St John of God Hospital’s Bendat Cancer Care Centre for a few days treatment and to boost low immunity before embarking on more chemotherapy. He fully expected to be able to return home, but his health deteriorated while in the centre.
Thanks to volunteers Mark and Will for accompanying Dave on his wish.
Dave died peacefully two days after fulfilling his wish.
