Wishes in 2022

In 2022 Ambulance Wish WA fulfilled 14 final wishes for terminally ill West Australians – that is 14 wishes which would have previously been unfulfilled due to the wish recipients’ mobility or medical requirements. In 2023 we want to increase this number, by at least 50%, but need your help to achieve this goal.

If you know anyone receiving palliative care, or who has a terminal illness, please ask them if they have a final wish to visit a place of significance and, if they do, complete a wish request on our website. The final wish programme is for those who need assistance in mobilising or have specific medical needs, requiring medical assistance or an ambulance, to travel. The programme is not just for those in the last few days of life – we accept wish requests for anyone within their last year of life.

As a donation-funded, volunteer run Registered Charity, Ambulance Wish Western Australia is dependent upon donations to be able to fulfil these final wishes. Every dollar received is used to fund the final wish programme. Please consider making a donation, either a one-off or regular donation (donations over $2 are tax deductible) to both fulfil a final wish and ensure the future of the final wish programme.

Share news of our final wish programme across social media – Ambulance Wish Western Australia has a presence on Facebook; Instagram; LinkedIn; Tiktok and Twitter – please find us, like our page and share our stories.

Consider volunteering for Ambulance Wish Western Australia – we are always looking for Wish Clinicians and Ambulance Crew to accompany our wish recipients; fundraisers; and will shortly be looking for volunteers interesting in helping with administration and wish coordination.

Thank you for your support for Ambulance Wish Western Australia – fulfilling wishes, celebrating lives!
