To see her dog

In addition to being recently diagnosed with lung cancer, a CT scan identified that Stephanie also had brain metastases. Stephanie left home on the morning of the CT scan appointment expecting to return later in the day, however the findings of the scan kept her in hospital. Since that day, Stephanie has not been able to leave the hospice, where she is receiving palliative care. Stephanie’s wish was to get home to see her dog and beautiful garden.

Last week Ambulance Wish Western Australia returned Stephanie home for a few hours, where she was able to see her dog Max and spend time with family in the beautiful surrounds of her garden.

A special thanks to the Ambulance Wish Western Australia volunteers Brent, Pat, Susie and Gary for fulfilling the wish – a round trip of 700km for Hydi.
