The first wish

Last week Ambulance Wish Western Australia fulfilled its first wish with Hydi transporting Rochelle and her medical team to Perth Foreshore to attend her son’s wedding.

“I cannot thank the team from Ambulance Wish WA enough for the incredible generosity and goodwill shown to transport my wife, Rochelle, to our son’s wedding ceremony on Friday 12 November 2021”, said Jeremy.

“Rochelle has been in Joondalup ICU battling chronic disease. The prospect of missing our son’s wedding, which had already been postponed due to COVID, was challenging for all concerned and for Rochelle’s mental health.”

“This singular act has meant so much, not only to Rochelle and our son Kieran and daughter-in-law, Grace, but also our extended family and a very large group of friends and colleagues who dearly love Rochelle and have been closely monitoring her wellbeing for the past month.”

The wish – successfully organised in just 24 hours and provided by volunteers Kim and Gary – was requested by staff at Joondalup Health Campus and was our absolute pleasure.

Many congratulations to newlyweds, Kieran and Grace – may your love be as everlasting as the rings upon your fingers and your lives be filled with happiness ❤️.

Fulfilling wishes, celebrating lives!
