Ms I

Ms I was able to leave her hospital bed at St John of God Bunbury Hospital and travel to Pingelly.

For Ms I, the opportunity to return to the town where she grew up and reconnect with Country one last time was deeply meaningful. Being back in the place that shaped her story brought comfort, connection, and a sense of peace, surrounded by those closest to her.

This special wish was made possible thanks to our incredible volunteers, Elisa, Flo, and Les, who supported Ms I and her loved ones every step of the journey with compassion and care.

At Ambulance Wish Western Australia, we help terminally ill West Australians fulfil their final wishes — whether it’s attending a family milestone, revisiting a place filled with lifelong memories, or sharing one last meaningful moment with the people they love most.

Every wish we fulfil reminds us that compassionate care does not end when treatment stops. These moments create comfort, dignity, and lasting memories for families during life’s most difficult time.

Importantly, our service is provided completely free of charge to wish recipients and their families. Every journey is made possible through the generosity of donors and the dedication of volunteers who give their time and expertise.

If you would like to help create more moments like Ms I’s, please consider supporting our work. Your donation helps turn a final wish into a memory that families will carry with them forever.
