In celebration of Ambulance Wish Western Australia’s third birthday and the fulfilment of its 100th final wish, the Registered Charity has launched a fundraising campaign to upgrade the Wish Ambulances’ stretchers.
New electronic ambulance stretchers will:
- improve comfort for wish recipients;
- increase the capability to fulfil more final wishes; and
- reduce the risk of manual handling injuries to the volunteer ambulance crews.
Ambulance Wish Western Australia has been quoted $51k for a new electronic stretcher and loading mechanism for each of its Wish Ambulances. Electronic stretchers for Tinesh, Kees & Hydi Wish Ambulances would allow both the Metropolitian region and South West WA to be equipped with better beds, improving comfort and minimising manual handling risk.
As Ambulance Wish Western Australia is a deductible gift recipient (DGR), all donations of $2 and over are tax deductible in Australia.
