About us - people
Our people
At Ambulance Wish Western Australia, everything we do is made possible by people — compassionate, dedicated individuals who believe that everyone deserves comfort, dignity, and special moments at the end of life.
Behind every final wish is a team of volunteers, health professionals, supporters, and community partners working together to create meaningful experiences for wish recipients and their loved ones. From coordinating logistics to providing clinical care and emotional support, each person involved plays a vital role in making wishes happen safely and respectfully.
Our charity is built on kindness, generosity, and a shared commitment to helping Western Australians create lasting memories when they matter most.

our mascot
Say hello to Peppi the Numbat, the beloved mascot of Ambulance Wish Western Australia.
Peppi represents everything our charity stands for – kindness, comfort, connection, and the gentle support that surrounds every final wish. As a friendly companion and symbol of hope, Peppi helps bring warmth and reassurance to wish recipients and their loved ones during what can be an emotional time.
Having a mascot like Peppi allows our charity to create a sense of familiarity and joy, especially for families experiencing uncertainty or grief. Peppi reminds people that even in the hardest moments, there is still room for care, compassion, and meaningful memories.
As part of every wish journey, each wish recipient receives their very own Peppi to accompany them on their special day. Whether travelling in the Wish Ambulance, visiting a favourite place, or spending time with loved ones, Peppi is there as a comforting presence throughout the experience.
Long after the wish is complete, Peppi becomes a treasured keepsake – a gentle reminder of a moment filled with love, dignity, and connection.
Peppi may be small, but the comfort and meaning they carry is immense.
